Job Description

Are you an experienced Business Analyst with over 10 + years of experience? Do you have a strong background working in Agile environments and previous Public Sector experience, preferably with the Province of Manitoba? We're looking for a Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract that can be worked remotely and has the potential for long-term extensions!

Job Responsibility

  • Lead requirements gathering sessions with stakeholders to understand business objectives and document detailed business requirements
  • Analyze and document current business processes and workflows, identifying areas for improvement and optimization
  • Develop comprehensive business cases outlining costs, benefits, and risks of proposed solutions
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including IT, operations, and management) to ensure alignment of business and technology solutions
  • Create functional specifications and user stories, ensuring they are clear, complete, and feasible for implementation

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Commerce or an equivalent field
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working as a business analyst
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience documenting/conducting process analysis and re-engineering
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience writing requirements, use cases and user stories
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in working on projects in agile environment

Nice to have

experience with the Public Sector Manitoba
