Job Description:

A Business Analyst role is required to drive requirements, design, and implementation for critical cross-functional changes impacting Citi Markets Operations partners. The role involves managing requirements, dependencies, communication, and engagement across multiple areas to define and drive holistic solutions within the Markets Operations Technology team. Core responsibilities include requirements elicitation, gap analysis, stakeholder management, change management, data analysis, and documentation/reporting.

Job Responsibility:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements, translating objectives into tangible deliverables and measurable outcomes
  • Identify gaps between current and desired business processes, proposing solutions that drive improvements and with consideration of upstream/downstream and data impacts
  • Effectively communicate with stakeholders, ensuring alignment on desired business outcomes and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle
  • Support change management activities, focusing on user adoption and realizing the intended business outcomes of the new processes or systems
  • Analyze data to validate and prioritize requirements and provide insights that contribute to business outcomes
  • Track key metrics and report on progress toward goals
  • Create and maintain documentation related to projects, processes, and achieved business outcomes

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst with a demonstrable track record of delivering projects that achieve measurable business outcomes
  • Project experience in Financial Services domain
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to think critically and strategically about how solutions contribute to business outcomes
  • Demonstrable experience in working with large data sets in Excel or more advanced tools and ability to drive insights from data
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely, connecting technical solutions to business outcomes for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to think, design and communicate in a way that considers solution Engineering is important
  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience

Nice to have:

  • Familiarity with software tools and techniques, including requirements management tools, modelling tools (e.g., Visio), and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL)
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL is highly beneficial
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
  • Knowledge of Markets and wider-Banking domains
  • Understanding of how technology solutions impact business outcomes within these domains
