The Business Analyst in Business Intelligence acts as a strategic partner between business stakeholders and data-driven solutions. This role focuses on transforming business needs into actionable insights through BI tools and platforms, ensuring accurate reporting, data integrity, and effective decision-making. Key responsibilities include requirements gathering, user training and communication, and managing enhancements to BI systems to support organizational objectives.
Job Responsibility:
Requirements Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to capture reporting and analytics needs and translate them into BI solutions
Dashboard & Report Development: Support the BI Engineer in building and maintaining interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights
Fit-Gap Analysis: Assess gaps between business requirements and existing BI system capabilities, and propose enhancements or process adaptations
Onboarding & Training: Support new entities and users in adopting BI tools by delivering training sessions and sharing best practices
Change Management: Prepare and manage requests for new reports, KPIs, or system enhancements
Documentation: Maintain clear and structured user guides, process descriptions, and system documentation for BI solutions
Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between technical teams and business units, ensuring alignment, transparency, and shared understanding
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
Certifications in BI tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Google Data Analytics) are considered an asset
0–2 years of experience in data analysis, BI, or related fields (internships or academic projects included)
Familiarity with SQL and data visualization tools
Proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik) and ERP reporting modules
Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and SQL
Experience with fit-gap analysis and BI solution design
Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications
Familiarity with quality assurance practices
Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret complex data and deliver actionable insights
Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills enabling effective cross‑functional teamwork
