We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Business Analyst in banking and cards processing. The ideal candidate will have strong functional knowledge of the cards lifecycle and experience working on API-based integrations. The role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, product teams, and technology teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements that support scalable and compliant banking and card solutions.
Job Responsibility:
Participate in business analysis activities for banking and cards-related initiatives (credit cards, debit cards, prepaid cards, transaction processing, authorization, settlement, billing, disputes, rewards, etc.)
Collaborate with business stakeholders and technology teams to gather, clarify, and document functional and non-functional requirements
Prepare Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), user stories, process flows, and data mapping documents
Support API-based integrations involving internal systems, card processors, fintech partners, and third-party vendors
Work with architects and developers to define API requirements, including request/response structures, data mapping, authentication, and error handling
Assist in impact analysis for enhancements, regulatory changes, and system upgrades
Support UAT activities including test case review, execution support, defect tracking, and business validation
Ensure adherence to regulatory and compliance standards (PCI-DSS, data privacy, banking regulations)
Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to backlog grooming and sprint planning
Maintain clear documentation of cards processing workflows and integration interfaces
Requirements:
5–10 years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking or Financial Services
Hands-on experience in cards domain (credit/debit/prepaid), including transaction lifecycle and basic issuing/acquiring concepts
Good understanding of cards processing flows: authorization, clearing, settlement, chargebacks, and reconciliation
Working knowledge of payment ecosystems and card networks (e.g., Visa, Mastercard)
Experience working with APIs (REST/SOAP), JSON/XML payloads, and integration documentation
Ability to translate business requirements into user stories and functional specifications
Understanding of core banking systems and digital banking interfaces
Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments
Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills
Experience coordinating with card processors or payment gateways is preferred
Basic understanding of API gateways or microservices architecture is an advantage
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, or related field
Relevant certifications (ECBA/CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile certifications) are a plus
