Join Swedbank's award-winning Financial Risk VDE, where you'll drive strategic development and maintenance of Market and Counterparty Risk solutions. This role is part of Swedbanks Financial Risk VDE, responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of Swedbank’s Market Risk and Counterparty Risk solutions. You will play a key part in improving and refining their tools and methods to ensure continuous compliance with internal measurement needs and regulatory requirements. The role involves enhancing financial risk management solutions through strategic development, data governance, and collaboration, ensuring regulatory compliance and continuous improvement in a dynamic banking environment.

Job Responsibility:

  • Build strong risk competence and improve tools and methods for continuous compliance with internal needs and regulatory requirements
  • Gather and analyze requirements, break down initiatives into logical components, and prepare Features for development
  • Develop and improve data governance, information modeling, and data quality management
  • Work with various databases in the financial risk domain, utilizing and enhancing SQL querying skills
  • Collaborate with software engineers, analysts, quants, architects, and product owners for successful improvements and enhancements

Requirements:

  • Solid analytical skills, structured, with excellent problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and database querying
  • Proficient in oral and written English
  • University degree in Computer Science, IT, Risk Management, Business Administration, Economics, Financial Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent

Nice to have:

  • Good knowledge of Financial Risk (Market Risk and Counterparty Credit Risk)
  • Good knowledge of Financial regulations (e.g., FRTB-SA, SA-CCR, IRRBB EV, ITS, CRRIII)
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe)
  • Basic knowledge of programming in Python
  • Basic knowledge of Linux
  • Experience from Front- and Backoffice systems or Risk calculation systems/applications
  • Proficient in oral and written Swedish
