Job Description:

The successful candidate will serve as a deep technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and key representative for the Trade and Transaction Reporting function. You will maintain operational oversight, drive continuous compliance against global mandates, and act as a critical resource for both BAU processes and change initiatives. Job Responsibility:

  • Provide deep technical subject matter expertise and analysis on operational processes for Trade and Transaction Reporting
  • Identify, investigate, document, and remediate exceptions and systemic operational issues arising from high-volume trades
  • Independently execute on complex and non-standard processes, ensuring timely completion of business procedures according to SLAs
  • Maintain a culture of risk management and control, actively assessing internal and industry regulations to understand their potential impact
  • Act as a trainer and guide for junior staff, providing best practices on processes and operational functions
  • Support change initiatives, including assisting with UAT testing and ensuring clear documentation of new processes
  • Develop productive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, representing the Regulatory Operations function

Requirements:

  • 7-8 years of dedicated experience in Global Markets, Risk/Compliance Operations, and/or regulatory reporting
  • Expert-level knowledge of US regulations and specific subject matter expertise in transaction reporting (FINRA, CFTC, SEC)
  • Strong, demonstrated understanding of CAT, EBS, 606, and LOPR reporting
  • Expert knowledge of the capital markets operational environment, business processes, and the transaction lifecycle
  • University Degree at a minimum
  • Proven strong relationship management skills, exceptional detail-orientation, and the ability to work independently with competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice to have:

  • Experience with Canadian reporting requirements (e.g., CIRO)
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx, or SQL
  • Experience with applications like JIRA, Confluence, or Broadridge
  • Master’s degree
