Job Description:

The Business Analyst plays a dynamic role responsible for supporting project and product delivery teams with direct reporting to the Manager, IT Business Analysis. The Business Analyst performs various functions based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. The Business Analyst serves as a team member for the documentation of requirements which can take the form of epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria for prioritized system and feature development. The Business Analyst is a collaborative team player with a growth mindset and an interest in devising or modifying procedures to solve the complex business systems and industry requirements of our business, users, and customers to help build the digital utility of the future.

Job Responsibility:

  • Interacts and effectively communicates with internal clients to understand functional requirements
  • Organizes and facilitates meetings with Business, Design, Dev Team, and other groups
  • Develops, refines, and documents requirements in the form of epics, features, user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Supports the team with current and potential system inputs, processes, and outputs including interface mapping and documentation of business processes
  • Consults on functional testing of system modifications
  • Ensures traceability on project work including capturing requirements
  • tracking test cases linked to requirements
  • may support capturing defects and linking to root cause as part of User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
  • Supports testing activities prior to release
