As part of our continued global growth, we are seeking a Business Analyst – Marketing & HR Finance to join our team in Johannesburg. This role will provide analytical and strategic financial support to our Marketing and HR functions across all Inspired regions, playing a critical part in driving efficiency, transparency, and performance across these global corporate areas.

Job Responsibility:

  • Liaise between Group Marketing, HR, and Finance to ensure alignment of financial tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
  • Support the global HR budget and forecast process, collaborating with country HR Analysts to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Partner closely with Marketing and HR leaders to provide data-driven insights, financial analysis, and advice on cost management, investment planning, and resource allocation
  • Develop and monitor key marketing performance indicators such as ROI to track strategic initiatives and departmental performance
  • Conduct deep-dive analysis into global Marketing and HR expenditure to identify trends, cost-saving opportunities, and process efficiencies
  • Review and challenge departmental spend requests, investment proposals, and procurement processes
  • Improve cost-controlling processes and reporting standards across HR and Marketing functions
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving data quality, automation, and financial systems integration
  • Provide training, guidance, and technical support on financial reporting tools and budget management processes
  • Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis to support decision-making and strategic planning

Requirements:

  • A relevant bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capability
  • experience with ERP systems (preferably JD Edwards, Oracle) and financial reporting tools (e.g. IBM Planning Analytics) is a distinct advantage
  • Demonstrable experience supporting corporate functions such as Marketing or HR within an international or multi-site organisation
  • Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly professional, proactive, and able to quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships at all levels
  • A collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with a continuous improvement mindset
