Job Description:

This role will serve as the bridge between the IT department and business units, providing technical solutions that meet the needs of the business. The successful candidate will understand the operations of the business units they support, and will use their knowledge of IT systems and capabilities to identify opportunities for process automation and function enhancement.

Job Responsibility:

  • Act as a liaison between the IT organization and the business community to provide technical solutions that meet user needs
  • Analyze the operations of business partners to understand their strengths and weaknesses and identify opportunities to automate processes and functions
  • Assist in the redesign and documentation of business processes as needed for the introduction of new technology
  • Translate high-level business requirements into functional specifications for the IT organization, and manage changes to these specifications
  • Educate the IT organization on the direction of the business
  • Facilitate communication between business units and IT from initial requirements to final implementation
  • Use understanding of technological trends to propose solutions that will give the enterprise a competitive edge
  • Make recommendations on whether to buy or build solutions

  • Degree in Computer Sciences or a related field is preferred
  • Experience in creating and maintaining Business Requirement Documents
  • Familiarity with working in a Business Unit or similar corporate structure
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with business partners
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technological trends and ability to apply this knowledge in problem-solving
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing technical solutions
  • Experience in automating processes, increasing efficiency and reducing errors
  • Knowledge of information systems and their role in business operations
  • Degree in Business Administration or a related field is preferred
  • Ability to create functional specifications for software applications and systems
