Job Description:

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a detail-oriented Business Analyst II (Operations Analyst) to join their Global Operations team. This is a long-term contract opportunity with potential for extension or permanent hire. The successful candidate will work within Capital Markets, supporting fixed income and OTC derivatives projects while collaborating closely with stakeholders across business units.

Job Responsibility:

Analyze and manage business requirements for low to moderate complexity initiatives
Support capital markets operations, including trade settlements, OTC derivatives, and cash management
Perform corporate actions, reconciliations, and trade compression activities
Act as a key liaison with stakeholders to ensure alignment of project goals and deliverables
Provide input on process improvement opportunities and assist with change management
Collaborate with project teams to document current and future state workflows
Utilize tools such as JIRA, Tableau, Power BI, and SWIFT for data analysis and reporting
Ensure the accuracy and quality of business documentation to support compliance and performance standards
Assist with implementation and post-implementation activities as per the project plan
Monitor and report progress on assigned work packages and escalate issues as needed

Requirements:

Minimum 3 years of experience in Capital Markets or a similar financial services environment
Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
Proven experience with process improvement initiatives
Background in OTC derivatives, trade settlements, and cash management
Project-related experience (participation or leadership)

Nice to have:

Familiarity with macros in Excel
Working knowledge of JIRA, Tableau, Power BI, and SWIFT
Experience with corporate actions and broker-dealer account management
Exposure to fixed income and equity settlements
