Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst II to join our client, a leading financial institution, within their Global Compliance division. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to ongoing compliance activities supporting Capital Markets operations. The successful candidate will operate in a hybrid work model, attending the office two days per week in downtown Toronto. This is a 10 month contract with a possibility for extension/conversion.

Job Responsibility:

Support compliance oversight functions by conducting research, reporting, and analytical work
Track and coordinate compliance initiatives with internal partners and stakeholders
Prepare executive-level communications, summaries, and presentations
Identify and escalate potential issues or areas requiring further review
Conduct internal and external research projects and contribute to policy/process development
Apply sound judgment and risk management in all assigned tasks
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of evolving regulatory guidelines and compliance best practices
Foster a positive and inclusive team environment by actively participating and sharing knowledge

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related discipline
2–4 years of relevant experience within capital markets and compliance
Strong knowledge of securities and asset classes
Familiarity with Canadian market mechanisms and trade surveillance

Nice to have:

CPA or CFA designation (or in progress)
Experience using SQL
Certifications such as CSC and/or IFIC
