Job Responsibility

  • Partner with business, product, and technology stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document requirements for enhancements and transformation initiatives across trading and execution platforms
  • Translate business and product objectives into detailed functional specifications, user stories, process flows, acceptance criteria, and implementation documentation
  • Support the evolution and rollout of global execution and trading platforms, ensuring alignment with operational, regulatory, and strategic priorities
  • Conduct gap analysis on existing workflows, trading processes, and platform capabilities to identify opportunities for optimisation and scalability
  • Work closely with technology teams, vendors, and control functions to coordinate platform delivery, testing, integration, and deployment activities
  • Provide subject matter expertise across electronic trading workflows, including order routing, execution management, and trade lifecycle processes
  • Contribute to the design and enhancement of integrations between internal systems, brokers, and external trading venues using APIs and industry-standard messaging protocols
  • Support the development of scalable and resilient system interfaces to improve execution quality and operational efficiency
  • Ensure project deliverables comply with internal governance standards, regulatory requirements, and risk management frameworks related to trading activities
  • Participate actively in Agile delivery processes, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stakeholder workshops, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and recommend solutions that enhance platform performance, operational transparency, and user experience

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
  • At least 7 years of experience as a Business Analyst within financial services, capital markets, trading technology, or investment platforms
  • Strong understanding of Execution Management Systems (EMS), electronic trading environments, and end-to-end trade lifecycle workflows
  • Experience working with asset classes such as equities, fixed income, derivatives, funds, or structured products within institutional or wealth management environments
  • Hands-on experience supporting system integrations using APIs and industry-standard connectivity protocols such as FIX, REST, or HTTPS
  • Proven ability to produce high-quality business and functional requirements documentation for complex technology initiatives
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and experience working within cross-functional product and technology teams
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex business requirements and translate them into practical technology solutions
  • Understanding of regulatory and compliance considerations impacting trading and execution processes is highly advantageous
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively across senior business leaders, technology teams, and external partners
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with multiple concurrent priorities
