Job Description

Capstone IT is helping our client find a Technology Business Analyst who will bridge the gap between business teams and technical delivery teams focused on enterprise data platforms and data transformation initiatives. This person will gather and refine business requirements, translate them into technical stories and acceptance criteria, and partner closely with engineers, architects, and product owners to deliver scalable data products, pipelines, governance solutions, and modern data platform capabilities.

Job Responsibility

  • Act as the liaison between business stakeholders, product owners, and engineering teams
  • Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and user stories
  • Support delivery of enterprise data platforms, pipelines, governance, and data product initiatives
  • Collaborate with architects and engineers on scalable and compliant data solutions
  • Help define acceptance criteria for data workflows, APIs, pipelines, and platform capabilities
  • Support CI/CD processes, observability practices, and data transformation workflows
  • Ensure solutions align with data governance, security, scalability, and platform standards
  • Participate in prioritization discussions and trade-off analysis to keep initiatives on track
  • Troubleshoot delivery and requirement gaps across technical and business teams

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 4+ years of technical business analysis experience
  • Strong experience supporting technical data initiatives
  • Background in data warehousing, data lakes, semantic layers, or data products
  • Experience working in Agile environments
  • Ability to write detailed technical requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Familiarity with Jira and Confluence preferred
  • Exposure to GCP, Kafka, Confluent, Apigee, or modern data stack tooling
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
