Job Description

We are seeking experienced Business Analysts to support discovery and delivery activities across central government digital programmes. You will work as part of multidisciplinary teams to understand user needs, analyse business processes and help shape services that meet GDS and DDaT standards.

Job Responsibility

Capture and analyse user needs, business processes and system requirements in alignment with government digital delivery practices
Support discovery activities by gathering evidence, reviewing existing services, documenting insights and mapping as‑is / to‑be processes
Work collaboratively with user researchers, service designers, developers and content specialists to ensure solutions follow GDS user‑centred design principles
Write clear user stories, acceptance criteria and contribute to backlog refinement and sprint planning
Support service evaluation, options analysis and evidence‑based decision‑making throughout the delivery lifecycle

Requirements

Proven experience as a Business Analyst within digital transformation or public‑sector delivery environments
Strong understanding of user‑centred design, Agile delivery methodologies and evidence‑based analysis
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex information to both technical and non‑technical audiences

Nice to have
