We are looking for a Business Analyst with a strong background in pharmaceutical R&D, data governance, and business value analysis. The ideal candidate will be at the intersection of science, data, and business, helping to drive value through effective data management and strategic decision-making.
Job Responsibility:
Collaborate with R&D scientists to understand their needs and translate them into IT requirements
Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in Pharma R&D to provide relevant insights and recommendations
Ensure adherence to FAIR data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
Design and manage data flows, ensuring efficient data acquisition, storage, and retrieval
Work closely with the Data Governor to implement robust data governance practices
Analyze and manage the ingestion of external data from scientific partners, CROs, and other sources
Conduct cost-benefit analyses to prioritize projects and initiatives based on their potential value to the organization
Develop business cases and project plans to support decision-making processes
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the R&D IT landscape
Liaise between R&D scientists, IT teams, and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and effective communication
Provide training and support to users to maximize the value derived from IT solutions
Facilitate collaboration needs from translational research and data science teams, ensuring seamless data integration and usage
Support the PK/PD and tox data platform, ensuring data integrity and accessibility
Address histology (biobank) and biomarker requirements, ensuring data is properly managed and utilized
Manage the proper documentation of requirements, ensuring clarity and completeness
Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes to validate that solutions meet business needs and requirements
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, particularly for late PK/PD and Tox data, which are subject to GxP (Good Practice) standards
Requirements:
Master’s degree in a relevant scientific field (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Bioinformatics) or equivalent experience
Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, preferably within R&D
Strong understanding of data governance, data flows, and FAIR data principles
Experience with electronic lab notebooks (eLN) and other R&D IT systems is a plus
Language Proficiency: Fluent in French and at least C1 level in English
Nice to have:
Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., ECBA, CCBA, CBAP) is highly desirable
Experience with project management methodologies and tools
Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the pharmaceutical industry
