Job Description

Perfaware is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst – Retail Technology with a strong focus on enterprise eCommerce and Order Management projects using Salesforce or IBM Sterling. As Business Analyst – Retail Technology, you will play a pivotal role in translating complex business requirements into functional solutions that optimize digital commerce and supply chain workflows for our global retail clients. You will be working closely with the Business Owners, Product Owner, PMO office, Cross-Functional and Engineering teams.

Job Responsibility

  • Defines project or product scope and objectives based on user needs and thorough understanding of business problems
  • Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering existing system/application capacity and limitations, and form of desired results
  • Analyze, develop and write business requirements, translate into functional design documents and participate in the technical design, test planning and user documentation processes for complex Retail application systems
  • Gather and analyze information / provide recommendations to address and resolve business issues for a specific business group
  • Analyze and re-engineer business processes to enable unified commerce /omnichannel commerce and breaking down silos
  • Identify and address cross-project dependencies and impacts to Stores, Call centers, IT, Business owners, Management etc.
  • Participate in software design, prototyping, construction and testing of new or enhanced Enterprise Retail/Supply Chain applications
  • Support in training users on new or enhanced applications
  • Track problems and bugs
  • revise documentation of system revisions and modifications, as needed
  • Participate in preparing requests for proposals, statement of work (SOW), presentations and reports for senior leadership
  • Translate business requirements into technical requirements and create user stories
  • Document business use cases and scenarios
  • Collaborate with business, product owners, engineering teams and cross-functional teams
  • Act as a liaison between business owners, product owners and engineering teams
  • Organize and coordinate user stories and step in as Product owner or Functional consultant in Implementation/Development sprints

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working as a Business Analyst or Functional Consultant for Retail /SupplyChain/CPG customers
  • 1+ years’ Agile / Scrum experience
  • 3+ years of experience in Retail and eCommerce domain
  • Understanding of Order Capture, Order Fulfillment, Inventory, Warehousing, Demand Planning, Store or Call Center functions
  • Familiarity with MS-Project, JIRA & Confluence or similar tracking and management tools
  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication and the ability to present information in a clear, concise and complete manner
  • Experience in documenting business requirements, functional design, business scenarios, etc.
  • Self-starter, creative, enthusiastic, innovative and collaborative attitude
  • Ability to prioritize tasks based on sense of business impact, urgency and accuracy
  • Bachelors or MBA or equivalent with solid experience in Business Analysis, Requirements Gathering
