This position, as part of the Cyber Defence leadership team, coordinates governance and operational processes to ensure Cyber Defence runs efficiently, provides high-quality executive reports, and minimises risk throughout Vodafone. Serving as the main point of contact for the division, it represents Cyber Defence in strategic, financial, governance, and operational meetings, while fostering collaboration among Global Cyber Security, Group Technology & Functions, VOIS, local markets, and external partners. The role also supports the broader Cyber Defence strategy by creating a unified view of the department’s progress, tracking dependencies between teams, and ensuring timely delivery of materials for ExCo-level reviews.
Job Responsibility:
Govern and coordinate Cyber Defence strategic initiatives end‑to‑end, with integrated planning, risk, issue and escalation management tracking progress of each function
Prepare/coordinate executive reporting cycle and own Cyber Defence budget and HC
Represent Cyber Defence in cross department streams of work (strategic, transformational, financial, governance and operational)
Promote and facilitate collaborative delivery across internal teams, other Cyber Security functions, Group Technology & Functions, VOIS, local markets and vendors
Identify and deliver operational improvement opportunities across Cyber Defence
Act as Product/Business Owner for delivery frameworks, managing backlog, prioritising by business value, aligning with portfolio/SAFe processes and tracking committed output
Manage SPIRIT stream and youth programmes inside Cyber Defence
Support strategic transformation across Cyber Defence (onboarding, business cases, roadmaps, tooling compliance, service reviews)
Lead consolidation of a unified Global operating model for Cyber defence incorporating Vodafone Markets and Entities
Requirements:
Proactive analytical approach to planning and risk management
Good Finance knowledge and planning capacity
Excellent communication skills
Comfortable at presenting to large audiences and at all levels of the organisation
Understanding of Cyber Security, Vodafone Entities and Technology structure, op model & stakeholders
Excellent stakeholder management skills and ability to get it done together, developing relationships, and understanding wider business priorities and perspectives
Ability to understand issues at both Operational and Strategic levels and to influence stakeholders to action
