Job Description:

We are looking for a Backshift Fueller/Shunter to join our busy Engineering Department at Lothian Country. At the end of a busy day’s service, our drivers deliver our buses back to the garage and into the capable hands of our bus fueller/shunters. That’s where you come in. Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for cleaning, fuelling and readying our buses for the next day. This involves safely and confidently moving buses around the garage, so this role is also an ideal starting point for any budding bus drivers!

Job Responsibility:

  • Ensure the fleet is fuelled to meet service requirements
  • Ensure that the fleet is processed through the bus wash as per the standards set
  • Help with general housekeeping duties
  • Fully comply with all Health and Safety and Engineering legislation along with Company policies
  • Fully comply with all relevant Engineering SOP's
  • Provide guidance to other staff as required
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and managers
  • Maintain and develop technical skills as required

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Ability to hold a PCV in the future
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Good work ethic and attention to detail
  • A reasonable level of physical fitness
