Job Description:

As a bus electrician, you'll be responsible for building and installing electrical systems in buses, including high-voltage drivelines, navigation systems, and more. You will also test and troubleshoot electrical and software systems, working within a collaborative environment at VDL in Valkenswaard.

Job Responsibility:

  • designing electrical schematics
  • installs customer-specific systems such as payment or navigation systems
  • flawlessly installs the high-voltage drivelines of the electric buses
  • tests the software behind the control systems
  • adjusts motor drives of various types and manufacturers according to instructions
  • quickly detects and repairs faults or error messages in electrical systems

Requirements:

  • completed MBO+, HBO technical education in electrical engineering, mechatronics or automotive
  • basic diploma of a technical education with opportunity for internal studies
  • preferably work experience in the automotive sector and/or mechanical engineering
  • experience as an electrician
  • good command of the Dutch and/or English language, both verbally and in writing
