As a Building Technician at JLL, you will oversee the daily operation of 2 site's facility services and systems under the direction of the assistant Facility Manager. You will be performing both preventative maintenance and corrective maintenance on a variety of facility systems, and of varying conditions. The position may be called upon to perform or work alongside other general maintenance, and support duties on an as-needed basis.
Job Responsibility:
Inspect and ensure all drainage systems are free flowing and clear or blockages
respond to calls to snake out drains or clear obstructions
Inspect and repair as needed all restroom and associated fixtures
Inspect and ensure all compressed air system are operational and error free
Respond to emergencies and schedule preventive maintenance
Oversee all parking lot responsibilities
Work with client to schedule equipment to be taken offline so preventative maintenance can be performed with minimal impact to end users
Review logs to ensure proper operation of equipment
report any problems/malfunctions on an as need basis
Prioritize all PM's, corrective and emergency work orders for the site (annual, quarterly, monthly, weekly, and daily)
Become familiar with all building systems and how they operate
Complete all misc. building repairs (ceiling tile replacement, painting, etc.)
Participate in an on-call rotation
Provide excellent customer service by utilizing professional and effective communication with timely follow through
Requirements:
Team player, self-starter with good interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively both verbal and written
Must be able to adequately perform required job functions including lifting, bending, and moving in such a way as to perform job tasks in a safe and approved manner
Must be able to lift 50lbs
Ability to perform overhead work and work at heights
Able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads
Ability to operate required equipment, climb ladders and operate a motor vehicle
Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Nice to have:
Basic MEP understanding
Previous experience in facility maintenance or building operations
Knowledge of preventative maintenance scheduling and prioritization
