Job Description:

A well-respected Construction Consultancy with a strong presence across London and the South East, particularly within the public sector, is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to work on diverse projects in education, residential, and civic buildings, while offering career progression and a supportive, flexible working environment.

Job Responsibility:

ownership of projects from inception to completion
producing detailed specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation
undertaking Contract Administration and Employer’s Agent duties
carrying out building condition and measured surveys
defect analysis
submitting planning and building regulation applications
mentoring junior staff

Requirements:

MRICS qualified or working towards chartership
a degree in Building Surveying or similar
full, clean UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
experience with public sector clients and frameworks
strong working knowledge of scheduling, specifications and contract administration
familiarity with planning and building control processes
confident communicator with excellent written and verbal skills
strong team player with the ability to work autonomously when required
proficient with AutoCAD (preferred)

Nice to have:

experience in party wall matters
DDA audits
CDM regulations
AutoCAD proficiency
