A client of mine, a leading Building Consultancy known for its exceptional project delivery and commitment to technical excellence, is looking to speak with a talented Building Surveyor up to Senior level to join their London office. This is a pivotal opportunity for a driven and commercially minded individual ready to take the lead on a varied portfolio spanning heritage refurbishments, modern new builds, and strategic advisory services.

Job Responsibility

  • Leading and delivering building surveying commissions
  • Supporting clients across condition and measured surveys, defect analysis, technical due diligence, dilapidations, party wall matters, and project management
  • Providing technical direction on complex schemes
  • Working closely with Directors
  • Supporting more junior colleagues

Requirements

  • MRICS (Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors)
  • Demonstrable post-qualification experience in a Building Surveying role
  • In-depth knowledge of construction methods, building pathology, and procurement routes
  • Ability to act as Contract Administrator and Employer's Agent
  • Clear understanding of legislation affecting the built environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and commercial awareness
  • Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Able to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
