Job Description:

One of the UK’s leading construction consultancies are currently seeking a dedicated and technically capable Building Surveyor to join their expanding Public Sector team, working across healthcare, blue light, education and local government projects. The successful Building Surveyor will work closely with Senior Building Surveyors and Associates, overseeing projects from inception through to completion. You will collaborate with a wide range of construction professionals and stakeholders, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, with a strong focus on client satisfaction.

Job Responsibility:

Acting as Contract Administrator and or Employer’s Agent where required
Preparation of project designs and specifications
Managing projects of varying size and complexity
Undertaking building surveys and site inspections
Preparation of tender documentation, evaluations and recommendations
Providing contractual advice pre and post contract
Preparing existing and proposed plans in CAD format
Managing and coordinating multidisciplinary project teams
Acting as Lead Designer where appropriate

Requirements:

Degree qualified in Building Surveying or equivalent (RICS accredited)
Strong technical grounding across all core areas of Building Surveying
Client focused with a commercial, outcome driven approach
Able to manage projects independently
Confident networker with an interest in business development
Able to delegate effectively and develop leadership capability
Subject to an enhanced DBS check
