Job Description

A Building Surveyor is sought to join a multidisciplinary construction consultancy in Milton Keynes. The Building Surveyor will deliver a mix of professional and project Building Surveyor services across commercial, residential and mixed-use sectors. The Building Surveyor will support contract administration, surveys and refurbishment schemes while working closely with clients and internal teams. This Building Surveyor role will involve exposure to a wide range of Building Surveyor instructions, including inspections, dilapidations and project delivery from inception through to completion.

Job Responsibility

  • Undertaking building inspections, acquisition surveys and measured surveys
  • Delivering dilapidations advice and schedules
  • Contract administration of refurbishment and maintenance projects
  • Preparing schedules of condition and defect reports
  • Advising on building maintenance, repair and refurbishment schemes
  • Supporting project delivery from inception through to completion
  • Liaising with clients and external stakeholders
  • Assisting with planning and technical due diligence matters

Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Building Surveying or related property discipline
  • Experience in a consultancy environment
  • Knowledge of dilapidations, contract administration and professional Building Surveyor work
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple instructions simultaneously
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of client requirements
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
