Job Description:

A leading Construction Consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to support the delivery of a wide range of projects across multiple sectors. This Building Surveyor role offers exposure to varied Building Surveying work, with responsibility across project delivery, client interaction and team support. The Building Surveyor will join an established Building Surveying team and be involved in Building Surveyor services from pre contract through to completion.

Job Responsibility:

Leading and managing building surveying projects, including more complex instructions, with minimal supervision
Delivering pre contract and professional Building Surveying services
Producing building surveys, condition reports, defect reports and party wall matters
Preparing specifications, schedules of works, drawings and contract documentation
Advising clients on procurement routes, project setup and risk management
Undertaking site inspections to monitor progress, quality, health and safety and compliance

Requirements:

A degree in a property or construction related discipline
Knowledge of building construction, defects and property legislation including the Party Wall etc Act 1996
Experience of pre contract services and contract administration
Familiarity with JCT forms of contract
