Job Description

A leading Construction Consultancy is seeking a Building Surveyor to deliver a broad range of Building Surveying services across multiple sectors. The Building Surveyor will be involved in both site and office based Building Surveying activities, supporting project delivery and client relationships. This Building Surveyor role offers exposure to fire safety, compliance, and technical Building Surveying work, providing an excellent platform for career development. The Building Surveyor will work within an experienced team delivering consistent, high quality Building Surveying services.

Job Responsibility

  • Site inspections across new-build developments, including fire safety systems
  • Conducting compartmentation surveys and fire stopping inspections
  • Supporting Fire Risk Appraisals of External Walls (training provided)
  • Producing detailed reports based on site surveys and documentation reviews
  • Reviewing fire strategies, drawings, O&M manuals, and compliance documentation
  • Preparing Building Safety Case reports and contributing to FRAEW reports
  • Carrying out internal quality assurance checks
  • Supporting research and development of building safety topics
  • Assisting in business development activities

Requirements

  • A degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline
  • A minimum of 3+ years' experience within a relevant role
  • Experience carrying out site inspections and technical reporting
  • Strong understanding of building regulations and associated guidance
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary environments
