Job Description:

Randstad is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Building Services Manager to join our team. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our buildings, creating a safe and comfortable environment for our occupants. You'll be responsible for managing a team of skilled building services technicians, overseeing a diverse range of projects, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.

Job Responsibility:

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive building services strategy, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective management of all building services systems
Team Management: Lead and motivate a team of skilled building services technicians, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to achieve high performance
Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of building services projects, from initial design and budget to handover and ongoing maintenance
Compliance and Safety: Ensure that all building services systems comply with relevant regulations and standards, including health and safety regulations, and maintain a safe and compliant environment for occupants
Problem-Solving: Effectively diagnose and resolve building services issues, implementing solutions to prevent recurring problems and ensure ongoing operational efficiency
Data Analysis & Reporting: Utilise data and reports to identify trends, assess performance, and inform strategic decisions regarding building services
Budget Management: Develop and manage budgets for building services operations and projects, ensuring cost-effective solutions and responsible resource allocation
Collaboration: Work effectively with other departments, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and communication
Asset Management: Collaborate with the Asset Management team to ensure building services are aligned with overall asset management strategies and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the property portfolio

Requirements:

A relevant qualification in Building Services Engineering or a related field
Significant experience in managing building services operations and projects
A thorough understanding of building services systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety
Experience in developing and implementing building services strategies
Proven leadership and team management skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

Nice to have:

Experience with data analysis and reporting in building services
Knowledge of sustainable building practices
Project management experience
Experience in a comparable setting
