We are seeking a skilled Building Services Maintenance Electrician to join our dedicated Estates Team. Unlike sub-contractor roles, this is a direct position with my client, offering long-term job security, a variety of technical challenges, and an industry-leading benefits package.
Job Responsibility:
Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM): Testing and inspecting emergency lighting, fire alarms, and distribution boards
Reactive Repairs: Fault-finding and fixing electrical issues across academic buildings, laboratories, and student residences
Minor Installations: Assisting with small-scale project works and upgrades
Compliance: Ensuring all work meets 18th Edition (BS 7671) standards and health and safety regulations
Requirements:
Level 3 NVQ (or equivalent)
18th Edition IET Wiring Regulations
Proven background in commercial or building services maintenance
City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/5) is highly desirable
Comfortable working in a diverse environment
Team player with positive attitude and ability to communicate effectively with staff and students
Must be eligible to live and work in the UK
