Job Description

The Estimator is responsible for estimating residential house plans, remodels, and light commercial projects. Associates will meet with contractors and their customers to assist them in the estimating process and complete all plans in the time frame agreed upon with clients. Estimators must be very detail orientated, patient, and have experience estimating either manually or with approved software. This position assists in the day-to-day operations of the store as assigned by the Store Manager.

  • Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in reviewing architectural drawings and estimating the costs for the various wood materials and labor to complete the job
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, technical procedures and /or government regulations

  • effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
