Job Description:

We’re Centrick — residential property experts with a clear mission: to make lives better, every day. Since 2005, we’ve grown into a nationwide business with a global reach, managing buildings and estates of all shapes and sizes. From property management, sales, and lettings to on-the-ground services like cleaning, caretaking, and maintenance — we deliver quality, end-to-end solutions. With our headquarters in central Birmingham and teams across the UK, we’re powered by dedicated professionals working collaboratively across operations, marketing, finance, and beyond. We reinvest in our people, technology, and culture to drive continuous improvement and long-term impact — for our clients, customers, and communities.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct routine inspections of internal and external communal areas to identify maintenance issues, defects and potential health and safety risks
  • Supervise and manage contractors on site, including carrying out inductions, monitoring performance and ensuring adherence to safe working practices

  • Support the Property Manager in the preparation of annual budgets, contractor retendering processes and supplier performance reviews
  • Carry out routine checks of building systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, smoke ventilation systems and lift communication lines, and arrange servicing where required
  • Manage the procurement and stock control of site supplies and consumables
  • Oversee refuse management arrangements, ensuring bin storage areas are maintained and accessible for scheduled collections
  • Ensure CCTV systems, access control processes and key management procedures are properly maintained and documented
  • Record communal utility meter readings as required
  • Enforce estate regulations, including parking controls, in accordance with lease agreements and estate rules
  • Respond to resident queries in a professional and timely manner, resolving issues where possible and escalating when necessary
  • Maintain accurate site records, support resident communications and contribute to management and Directors’ reports where required
  • Ensure full compliance with all site procedures, company policies and relevant Health & Safety legislation
  • Oversee laundry facility usage, including collecting payments and providing washing machine tokens

Requirements:

  • TPI or MPTI required
  • Demonstrable experience in a building management, facilities management or property management role
  • Strong technical understanding of building systems, plant equipment and maintenance requirements
  • Sound knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and contractor management processes
  • Experience coordinating outsourced services and working within budgetary frameworks
  • Excellent communication skills with strong written and spoken English
  • Highly organised with strong administrative and IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
What we offer:
