Job Description

Building Manager to take ownership of the facilities and operational management of a large, vibrant London office. Hands-on position overseeing performance of all core building systems, ensuring compliance with health & safety, managing external contractors and service providers, and leading a small admin team to deliver a safe, efficient, and well-functioning workplace.

Job Responsibility

  • Oversee operations of building systems (HVAC, electrical, fire safety)
  • Monitor BMS data to optimise building performance
  • Coordinate planned preventative maintenance (PPM), inspections and repairs
  • Manage building security procedures and access control
  • Support sustainability initiatives
  • Act as the primary contact for all H&S matters
  • Conduct and review risk assessments
  • Maintain up-to-date H&S policies/procedures
  • Organise fire drills/first aid training
  • Track incidents, hazards, and near-misses
  • Oversee office operations(supplies, equipment, vendor management)
  • Manage office budgets, invoices and procurement
  • Provide administrative support
  • Act as out-of-hours contact for facilities emergencies
  • Line-manage and mentor the admin team
  • Support recruitment and onboarding

Requirements

  • Experience in a Building/Facilities/Office Manager role
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, BMS, HVAC, FCUs and contractor management
  • Solid track record in health & safety compliance, risk assessments, and emergency protocols
  • Comfortable managing budgets, suppliers, and service providers
