As a Building Maintenance Engineer at JLL, you will serve as the technical backbone of our facility operations, ensuring optimal performance of all building systems and equipment. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with proactive maintenance strategies to create safe, efficient, and comfortable environments for our clients. Job Responsibility:
Operate and maintain HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and compliance with regulatory standards
Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment including generators, control systems, and fire-life safety systems
Conduct regular inspections, record equipment readings, and make necessary adjustments to ensure proper system operation
Respond to customer service requests and emergency situations in a timely and professional manner while maintaining safety protocols
Enforce safety rules and behaviors while identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential hazards and risks throughout the facility
Collaborate with the Facility Management team during emergency situations including fire alarms, after-hours calls, and hazardous conditions
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and safety compliance measures
Requirements:
Minimum 6 years of documented work experience in HVAC or Electrical trades, OR minimum 4 years in HVAC/Electrical trades plus 2 years of supporting education
High school diploma or state equivalent required
Completion of minimum one-year trade school training or associate degree in relevant technical field
Valid U.S. driver's license with acceptable driving record
Ability to complete company-sponsored Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) Program and attain minimum Level 1 QEW status
Proficiency in electrical measurements including voltage, amperage, and resistance
Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel
Nice to have:
R-410A Refrigerant safety certifications
EPA 608 Universal License certification
Familiarity with NEC 70e electrical safety requirements and OSHA 10 standards
Experience with thermodynamic, electrical, and mechanical systems including computer-controlled equipment
Knowledge of Lock Out Tag Out procedures and hazardous materials handling
Previous experience in commercial or institutional facility maintenance
Additional trade certifications or continuing education in building systems technology
