Building Inspector

Come join our dynamic team! The city of Newton is seeking qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Building Inspector. The purpose of this position is to Responsible for the enforcement of the 780CMR MA State Building Code, the city of Newton Zoning Code, and local government building, zoning, occupancy, safety, fire, maintenance codes, municipal ordinances and other regulations regarding public safety, health and welfare; for conducting assigned building and facility site inspections for conformance to and violations of accepted regulations. All other duties as directed, required and as the circumstances dictate. This is a full-time, non-exempt position, hiring salary range: $74,913 – $100,477 annually plus yearly step increases, excellent benefits, and the opportunity to be a part of our team of dedicated public servants.
