Building Inspector Senior

Perform skilled field work in residential and commercial building construction inspection to ensure compliance with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire, energy and accessibility and other building and construction codes

• A High School Diploma or GED and additional technical training
• 3 years of experience in building inspection
• or 3 years of construction work in one of the four major trades: Plumbing, Electrical, Mechanical or Building Construction or a related field
• and a minimum of one 1 year of building inspection experience
• 1 International Code Council (ICC) Certification within 6 months of hire or promotion
• A valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record
• or Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work

• Additional ICC (International Code Council) certifications
• Bachelor’s degree
