Job Responsibility:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire, and life safety systems to maintain facility standards
Complete general maintenance tasks including painting, locksmith work, electrical repairs, facility rounds, and other assigned maintenance duties
Assist operational staff with building equipment repair and maintenance under appropriate supervision
Monitor and maintain compressed air systems and their supporting components while ensuring optimal performance
Maintain accurate records of completed work in organized documentation systems and manage inventory of tools and supplies
Ensure compliance with hazardous materials policies for safe storage, usage, and disposal while maintaining clean work environments
Respond to call-in work requirements and collaborate with team members to address facility needs promptly
Requirements:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Two years of technical training through Local 399 or equivalent technical education program
Physical capability to lift at least 50 pounds and safely operate ladders up to 12 feet
Working knowledge of computer applications including Microsoft Word and Excel for record-keeping and reporting
Demonstrated electrical and mechanical aptitude with hands-on maintenance experience
Availability for call-in work and flexible scheduling to meet facility operational needs
Strong team collaboration skills and willingness to learn new systems and procedures
Nice to have:
Previous experience with HVAC systems, chillers, cooling towers, or large mechanical equipment
Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) for work order management
Basic knowledge of compressed air systems and industrial equipment maintenance
Experience working in healthcare, commercial, or industrial facility environments
Understanding of fire and life safety systems maintenance and compliance requirements
Additional technical certifications or specialized training in building systems
