Job Description

The town of Hatfield (pop. ~3,300) seeks an experienced Building Commissioner/Zoning Enforcement Officer (19 hrs/week), appointed by and reporting to the Select Board. Responsibilities include administering and enforcing the Massachusetts State Building Code (780 CMR), MGL Chapter 40A, and Town Zoning By-Laws; investigating zoning violations; plan review; permitting; field inspections; budget preparation; and technical support to the ZBA, Planning Board, and Select Board.
