The city of Salem seeks a Building Code Enforcement Inspector in the Inspectional Services Department.

Job Responsibility:

  • Works under direct & general supervision of Inspectional Services Director
  • Administrative/technical role
  • Direct liaison between other municipal offices
  • Collaborates with other buildings, plumbing, electrical, & health inspectors

Requirements:

  • Valid Construction Supervisors License required
  • Certified Local Building Inspector preferred
  • Ability to obtain certification within one year
  • Valid MA driver’s license
  • Reliable transportation required
