Join our team as a Building Code Compliance Expert and play a pivotal role in ensuring excellence and safety in construction projects. In this expert-level remote position, you will leverage your deep building code knowledge and blueprint-reading proficiency to maintain compliance and uphold industry standards.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct comprehensive reviews of architectural and engineering plans to verify building code compliance
Interpret, analyze, and comment on blueprints and project documentation for regulatory adherence
Advise project teams on code-related challenges and provide actionable recommendations
Stay up-to-date on local, state, and federal building codes, and communicate regulatory changes to stakeholders
Collaborate effectively with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve compliance issues
Deliver clear, concise written and verbal reports on compliance status and recommendations for corrective actions
Support the continuous improvement of internal code compliance processes and best practices
Requirements:
Demonstrated expertise in building codes and related regulations (local, state, and federal)
Proficient in detailed plan review and blueprint reading
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly
Extensive experience working with construction documents and compliance reports
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and remotely while managing multiple assignments
Proven track record of collaborating with cross-functional project teams
Experience: 3-5 years
Nice to have:
Relevant certifications such as ICC, NFPA, or state-issued licenses
Experience in remote code compliance consulting or virtual inspections
Background in mentoring or training other professionals in compliance best practices
