Job Description:

KAIROS, Inc is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Budget/Financial Analyst, Senior, to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position will work at a government site in St. Inigoes, MD. This position will provide comprehensive budget execution support, financial, accounting, and cost data reporting for a division of NAVAIR.

Job Responsibility:

  • Conduct detailed quantitative analysis of financial data and offer strategic recommendations to project managers to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with project goals
  • Develops budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures and regulations while analyzing budgeting and accounting reports to identify trends and potential issues
  • Utilizes Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) to perform financial execution functions and support data calls as required
  • Direct and mentor junior analysts and conduct training as necessary to enhance their understanding and application of analytical techniques and methodologies

Requirements:

  • Financial management experience, including financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, and program status reports
  • Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR)
  • FAR
  • and Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) processes
  • Capable of performing detailed analysis of complex data to identify problems and recommend solutions
  • Ability to apply financial management practices to ensure validity/accuracy of metrics and reporting results
  • Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills
  • Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
  • Microsoft office suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to multi-task and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues
  • Ability to adapt to evolving technology
  • Master’s Degree in a technical, business, financial, computer science, or information technology discipline (or Bachelor’s degree plus eight additional years of work experience, or twelve years of work experience in lieu of a degree)
  • Ten (10) or more years of relevant financial experience
  • At least three (3) years of the most recent five (5) years of experience must have been directly supporting tasking in N-ERP
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Must be able to complete the full background investigation
  • Active Secret Security Clearance
