KAIROS, Inc. is searching for an energetic, experienced, and highly motivated Budget/Financial Analyst, Journeyman, to join our team. This position is contingent upon contract award. This position will work at a government site in St. Inigoes, MD. This position will provide budget execution support, financial, accounting, and cost data reporting for a division of NAVAIR.
Job Responsibility:
Conduct quantitative analysis of financial data and assist project managers by providing recommendations to ensure financial accuracy and alignment with project objectives
Develops budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures and regulations while analyzing budgeting and accounting reports
Utilizes Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) to perform financial execution functions and assists with data calls as required
May support more experienced analysts, applying analytical techniques and methodologies to contribute to the financial management of the projects
Supports and guides junior staff and collaborates with senior team members in applying analytical techniques and methodologies to enhance project outcomes
Provide budget execution support, financial, accounting, and cost data reporting for a division of NAVAIR
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a technical, business, financial, computer science, or information technology discipline
In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in a technical, business, financial, computer science, or information technology discipline, plus an additional four (4) years of work experience, can be substituted
In lieu of a degree, an additional six (6) years of work experience can be substituted
Three (3) or more years of relevant financial experience
Of those three (3) years, at least one (1) year of experience must be with Navy or other DoD programs
Financial management experience, including financial analysis of business programs, development of cost estimates, and program status reports
Working knowledge of DoD Financial Management Regulation (FMR), FAR, and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) processes
Capable of performing detailed analysis of complex data to identify problems and recommend solutions
Ability to apply financial management practices to ensure the validity/accuracy of metrics and reporting results
Strong customer relations, analytics, and documentation skills
Self-starter, highly motivated, strong work ethic with a commitment to quality
Microsoft Office Suite proficiency, i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Ability to work within a challenging, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Ability to work independently
Ability to multitask and meet competing, deliverable deadlines
Detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide clear status and/or communicate issues

This position is subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
You must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to complete the full background investigation
This position requires an Active Secret Security Clearance
