Job Description

Astrion is seeking a Budget Analyst to support our customer in Huntsville, Alabama.

Job Responsibility

  • Serves as a Budget Analyst supporting PM Aircraft Survivability Equipment (PM ASE) FMS budget and funding actions
  • Shall have working knowledge of DoD Instruction 7000.14-R, Department of Defense Financial Policy and Procedures
  • Review funding documents (Military Interdepartmental Purchase Request (MIPRs) and Procurement Work Directives (1095s) for accuracy in accordance with applicable internal control laws, Army guidelines and audit procedures
  • Process and forward MIPRs/1095 and related forms in required format for acceptance of reimbursable, direct charge and direct cite documents
  • Works under the Lead Budget Analyst to research Unliquidated Obligations (ULOs) in GFEBS to assist in the de obligation and return of funds to customer
  • Examine budget estimates and accounting reports for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations

Requirements

  • At a minimum, candidate must currently possess an active and transferable DoD security clearance with active investigation
  • Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in related discipline with 5 years direct experience
  • Must have working knowledge of DoD Instruction 7000.14-R, "Department of Defense Financial Policy and Procedures"
  • Experience with Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) is a must
  • Experience with Military Interdepartmental Purchase requests (MIPR) required
  • Experience with GFEBs (General Fund Enterprise Business System) required
  • Experience managing Foreign Military Sales funding and funding documents is preferred
  • Able to work independently
  • Must be organized
  • Must have interpersonal skills in working with customer
