Budget Analyst

• Budget Development & Systems Management Facilitate the end-to-end budget development process, ensuring data integrity within SIMS and supporting the creation of long-term financial programs
• Financial Analysis & Funding Recommendations Analyse internal Budget Centre allocations and evaluate additional funding requests to provide strategic, data-driven recommendations
• Performance Monitoring & Forecasting Perform deep-dive reconciliations of works programs by comparing Budget vs. Actual vs. Forecast, utilising extrapolated actuals to identify trends and variances
• Treasury Compliance & Alignment Maintain rigorous accuracy in reconciling internal budgeting systems with State Treasury approvals to ensure financial compliance and reporting efficiency
• Program Reporting & Support Support the preparation and monitoring of consolidated annual and out-year programs, delivering comprehensive reporting to track organisational milestones

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce
• Strong experience in budget and financial analytics
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, and skills in Flow Charting
• Previous public sector experience (Desirable)
