Budget Analyst

• Develop and manage comprehensive budgets for various departments and programs, ensuring accuracy and compliance
• Create and maintain detailed financial reports and spreadsheets, including grant-related budgets and annual operating budgets
• Analyze financial data to provide insights and recommendations for improving budgetary processes
• Utilize advanced Excel functions, such as pivot tables, to streamline data formatting and reporting tasks
• Collaborate with department leaders to gather budget requirements and address any discrepancies
• Support the implementation of budget-to-actual comparisons and assist in exploring AI solutions for process improvement
• Assist with updating employee rates and program-specific financial details annually
• Coordinate with multiple teams, including operations, behavioral health, and public health, to ensure budget alignment
• Prepare ad-hoc financial analyses and reports as needed
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and seek guidance when necessary to resolve complex issues

• Proven experience in budgeting and financial analysis, ideally within county, municipal, or government settings
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions like pivot tables and complex formulas
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
• Experience preparing budgets for multi-faceted organizations or programs
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial data to support decision-making

Familiarity with grant budgeting and reporting processes is a plus
