Are you an expert in vocational education with a passion for practical learning? Randstad Education is looking for a versatile and industry-focused BTEC Teacher to join a vibrant department in Colchester. This role is ideal for an educator who excels at bridging the gap between the classroom and the workplace, helping students develop the tangible skills they need for their future careers.

Job Responsibility:

  • Vocational Delivery: Teach BTEC units with a focus on practical application, industry case studies, and employability
  • Assignment Management: Guide students through the research, drafting, and final submission of assignments, ensuring all grading criteria are met
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain accurate records for Internal Verification (IV) and ensure all work is ready for Standards Verification
  • Student Mentoring: Provide 1-to-1 support to help students manage their workload and meet strict deadlines

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), QTLS, or FE Teaching Qualification
  • Proven experience delivering BTEC qualifications (Level 2 or 3)
  • Strong organisational skills and familiarity with Pearson/Edexcel assessment platforms
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service

Nice to have:

A background in your specialist industry is highly desirable to provide real-world context
