Job Description:

An ambitious and well-established construction consultancy is seeking a knowledgeable and motivated BSA Principal Designer to join their expanding team in the North. This flexible position offers a choice between regional or national work, making it ideal for professionals who want control over their travel and project exposure. With offices across the North, this role is ideally suited to candidates within commuting distance of any Northern hub, but remote flexibility is available for the right candidate.

Job Responsibility:

Acting as Principal Designer in line with the Building Safety Act
Advising on building safety compliance from early design through to construction
Collaborating closely with in-house CDM and design professionals
Working across a mix of commercial, residential, and public sector projects
Flexible approach to travel – local project focus or wider national remit

Requirements:

Strong knowledge of the Building Safety Act and Building Regulations
Background in Architecture or CDM Principal Designer roles
NEBOSH Construction, TechIOSH or IMaPS/CMaPS preferred
RIBA or similar is a bonus
Capable of providing clear safety and design advice at all stages
Based anywhere in the North of England – travel and office days flexible
