Job Description

Are you the next Bruno? As the mascot, Bruno serves as the primary ambassador for Brown University Athletics at sporting events and functions around campus and the community. Bruno performs various duties from fan engagement initiatives at games, appearances at charitable functions and spreading excitement at all activities attended!

Job Responsibility

Requirements

  • Previous mascot or acting experience preferred, not required
  • An energetic individual who loves to interact and engage with others
  • Candidates should possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive campus
  • All division employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations
  • Employees in coaching positions are required to pass the NCAA Coaches Certification Test, maintain current AED/CPR & First Aid certification, and attend all required divisional and/or NCAA training/education programs

  • Manages leave programs including Family Medical Leave (FML) and non-FML leaves of absence
  • Provides individual benefits counseling to team members
  • Coordinates disability processes and payments and advocates for Team Members with vendors
  • Performs daily administration of benefits plans including processing changes and updates in Human Resources Information System (HRIS)
  • Works with appropriate personnel to build and maintain benefits reports
  • Coordinates the benefit enrollment process for all team members
  • Audits new hire elections before they are transmitted to vendor(s)
  • Audits eligibility files to carriers and resolves any outstanding issues before transmitting
  • Ensures timely processing of Qualified Family Status Changes and Qualified Medical Support Court Orders (QMSCO)
