Job Description

The Brunch Cook is responsible for preparing high‑quality brunch dishes with consistency, speed, and creativity. This role requires strong culinary skills, excellent time management, and the ability to thrive during high‑volume service. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to execute a menu that balances classic brunch staples with innovative seasonal dishes.

Job Responsibility

  • Prepare and cook all brunch menu items according to recipes, plating standards, and service timelines
  • Execute eggs, griddle items, sauté dishes, and specialty brunch features with precision
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation at all times
  • Assist with prep work, including chopping, batching, sauces, and mise en place
  • Monitor food quality, freshness, and portion consistency
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines (ServSafe standards preferred)
  • Communicate effectively with the kitchen team and front‑of‑house staff
  • Support inventory management by rotating stock, labeling items, and minimizing waste
  • Contribute ideas for specials and seasonal brunch menu updates

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of line cook experience
  • brunch or breakfast cooking strongly preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently during fast‑paced, high‑volume service
  • Strong egg‑cookery skills (poached, over-easy, scrambled, omelets, etc.)
  • Familiarity with griddle, sauté, and fryer stations
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings and weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Positive attitude and team‑oriented mindset
