Job Description

Perplexity AI is looking for an experienced C++ Chromium Engineer to join our small team revolutionizing the way people browse the Internet. You will be responsible for building and expanding Comet - Perplexity new browser.

Job Responsibility

  • Develop a performant Chromium-based browser that millions of users around the world enjoy using
  • Work closely with product teams to implement novel Desktop and mobile experiences
  • Work closely with design teams to design fast and intuitive UI
  • Collaborate with data science and machine learning teams to instrument, analyze, and improve the end-to-end experience
  • Work with infrastructure and QA teams on deployment processes, including testing, release, and monitoring.

Requirements

  • 4+ years industry experience
  • Expertise in C++ Chromium codebase
  • Enjoys the craft of building nice UI, creating a good UX, and writing code that can be reused by others
  • Understands how to manage performance and speed
  • Comfortable working with a small, fast-moving team, must be willing to dive in and take ownership
  • A passion for shipping.
