Job Description:

The Broker Sales Team Leader plays a pivotal role in driving mortgage completions and leading a high-performing sales team. This hybrid role balances hands-on application management with strategic leadership, fostering strong relationships with broker firms and internal departments to deliver outstanding results.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee and progress new mortgage applications from submission to completion
  • Ensure timely and compliant processing aligned with lender and regulatory standards
  • Lead, coach, and motivate Broker Sales Executives (BSEs) to exceed individual and team SLA’s and KPI’s
  • Foster a high-performance culture by setting clear goals and expectations
  • Identify training needs and coordinate development plans
  • Conduct monthly performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback
  • Act as escalation point for BSEs and broker firms
  • Maintain regular contact with broker firms and their team leaders to strengthen partnerships
  • Champion cross-functional collaboration with Quality Assurance, Underwriting, Business Change, Business Analysts, Data Teams, Marketing
  • Support in regular team meetings to share updates, insights, and drive engagement

Requirements:

  • Proven leadership experience in a sales environment
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Mortgage Broker Sales
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams to meet and exceed sales targets

Nice to have:

  • CeMAP or equivalent mortgage qualification
  • Sound knowledge of specialist mortgage products and distribution, particularly homeowner loans
