Job Description:

To assist the Senior Operations Manager with rostering the ITV Sport department staff, assisting with broadcasting and scheduling issues.

Job Responsibility:

  • To provide and update a full programme schedule for all ITV Sport output including distributing to the wider team weekly and communicating any changes to senior management where necessary
  • Maintain regular communication with scheduling teams
  • Distribute information as appropriate between scheduling, presentation and production teams and be part of any problem- solving process
  • To assist with the rostering of ITV Department staff where needed
  • Roster Technical Producers and booking freelancers as required
  • Updating freelancer contact details and creating a solid freelance database
  • Assisting the Senior Operations Manager with forecasting staffing problems in advance
  • Assisting to record annual leave and doils within the ITV Sport team, managing sport tech and production leave documents
  • To coordinate and submit billings, manage series, synopses and episode titles in Studios Portal and request production numbers as required
  • Assist in the organisation of ITVX content for Highlights and FAST Channel programming
  • To cover certain responsibilities of the Senior Operations Manager when on annual leave
  • To keep updated records of weekends worked by all editorial staff in an effort to keep the rostering systems as fair as possible across all roles
  • To keep updated records of editorial team experience on programmes
  • Manage department and network promos and communicate internal programme promotions to the Director of Sport and Senior Management
  • Be the main point of contact for some outsourcing work
  • Communicating with Insights team to corroborate stats as required
  • Completing paperwork for stakeholders (such as UEFA)

Requirements:

  • Specific scheduling experience is not required but desired
  • Some previous work experience would be beneficial but a genuine interest in working in broadcast is essential
  • To have an understanding of a television production environment
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Constant attention to detail and the ability to pre-empt problems
